  • All travel expenses are the responsibility of the client and will be billed in addition to the speaking fee. Travel typically includes business class airfare or equivalent, ground transportation, lodging, and meals or per diem.

    Lighting and Recording Notes:

    • Lighting is critical. I am a dark-skinned Black woman and require a well-lit stage. If not on stage, please maximize lighting options

    • I record many of my talks and may have a videographer or photographer present. Please allow them early access

    • If using slides, I prefer large-scale projection behind me

    • If on a stage, a confidence monitor is appreciated (but not necessary)

  • Preferred Room Setup:

    • Theater or close to theater for larger audiences
    • U-shape for smaller or mid-sized groups

  • Stage Preferences:

    • I move when I speak – I do not prefer speaking from a lectern
    • I rarely use props and don’t need extra space for them

    Audience Size Sweet Spot:

    Mid-sized groups are ideal – large enough to feel energized, small enough for interaction
